Sherriff Bell shuts down meeting.

Sherriff Bell shuts down meeting.

Just like several months ago it was NOT because the citizens were being disruptive it was because the Board Members were on the edge of becoming verbally if not physically disruptive so before it got to that point the Sherriff did his duty to protect the Board members from themselves and shut down the meeting.
Item 5 was as far as the meeting got.

Tyler paraded several county employees up in front of the Board and stated "I did not say this" and "I did not say that" ... right? Talk about putting words in someone's mouth!! The discussion was having to do with giving implied approval for a contractor to go ahead with some work at the tune of about $65,000.00.
This is all very interesting since during the last Board of Supervisors meeting the contractor involved who said Tyler gave him the go ahead or implied that he want the contractor to "get the work done" also indicated that the only ones in the room when the work was being discussed was he (the contractor), Tyler and the County Attorney. The County attorney said yes he was there but after saying that the county could go sole source to get the work done quickly he left the room and Tyler and the contractor continued talking.

I do not have any video or pictures BUT THE SUSSEX SURRY DISPATCH was there and should have a good story in this weeks paper. You better get one early as this might be one of those issues that sell out.

There was a statement that sums it up all to well.
TYLER YOU SHOULD STOP RUNNING YOUR MOUTH AND RUN THE MEETING.

  1. Mr. Tyler has been pushing the limits for some time! He has been quoting scripture recently so I found a verse that I think may be appropriate. "May his days be few, may another take his place of leadership." Psalm 109:8
