  1. The recent action of the newly inducted Waverly Town Council is a travesty for our Town and an injustice to a highly successful professional to be so summarily dismissed after superior job performance. He should have been commended by this group and congratulated for his outstanding accomplishments. Chief Lands, I have never met you, but as a lifelong resident of the Town of Waverly, I apologize for the manner in which you were treated. I applaud your drive and your dedication plus the leadership you provided for your department. The quality of your service will be missed here but I have no doubt your career will continue with distinction wherever it leads you. Please do not allow the narrow minded to diminish any part of what you have accomplished here. It stands for itself. Those of us who recognize and value right and wrong, know it when we see it. And those who choose to ignore it, eventually are forced to deal with it.
    God speed,
    Beverly Pittman Hartz

  2. There's a post on Facebook in support of Tom Harris. If it gains momentum we will be able to get rid of the corruption on the board of supervisors here in Sussex by removing those who illegally or at least underhandedly got rid of Mr.Harris. Tom Harris would not allow the corruption to continue. One must assume it would put a cramp into the life style of someone on the board for them to dislike the honest handling of Sussex County . The last remarks made by Mr. Harris at his last meeting before a emergency board meeting was called with only 3 member's being invited or informed of it were: " I will Not break the law for Anybody". The board meeting existed of 3 people 2 of which are in the pockets of one. Stand up for those who fight for you and your family, reinstate Tom Harris.
